Department History

The Department of Fine Arts commenced in the year 1982 with two majors namely Advertising Arts and Interior Design. It started with seven faculty members under the Chairmanship of the late Architect Victor Leyes. After more than ten years of existence, the department decided to offer major in Painting with its pioneer graduates last March 2004. The major in Interior Design became a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design, starting school year 2004-2005 but still holds office under the Fine Arts Department.

The department is set to celebrate its 25th anniversary on February 2007 with activities involving faculty, students, alumni and industry practitioners.
