It is with great honor and privilege that I greet and welcome you all to the University of San Carlos – College of Architecture and Fine Arts (CAFA) specifically from the Department of Architecture.
The world is filled with opportunities just waiting to be found by the energetic and intelligent person who is seeking.
The Department of Architecture is a lively and friendly community, buzzing with new ideas and new ways to learn. It provides you not only the opportunities but also challenges to enable you to discover the best of you. The Department has two bachelor’s degree programs: the B.S. Architecture and B.S. Landscape Architecture. In addition, 2006/2007 Academic Year the Post-Graduates Studies in Urban Planning and Architectural Science are available as well.
Our mission is to cultivate an environment of educational excellence which encourages a high of purpose superior performance and vision for national leadership in the area of Architecture. It also aims at providing opportunities for training, research, conventions, seminars in accordance with International Standards of best practice and management. The curriculum is designed to lay a professional groundwork for each student in the field of Architectural Design and environmental friendly structures and constructions. For Landscape Architecture, the department offers student an interdisciplinary setting in which to learn and think critically and creatively in addressing environmental issues.
May the faculty and staff of the department continue to teach, let our students understand and employ the complex process of design and construction to build socially and ecologically sustainable cities and communities.
